The St. John Group is please to announce that a TSJG employee, Reshma Kakkar, was recently selected to be a Board member of the OpenELIS Foundation.  The OpenELIS Foundation is a global community of professionals in laboratory science, public health, health informatics, and software development whose mission is to develop open source community based solutions and thereby support the informatics needs and best practices of environmental, clinical, and public health laboratories.  One of the main applications produced by this community is OpenELIS, an open source laboratory information system, currently in use in 3 countries in multiple laboratories and within the US in Iowa, Minnesota and Missouri, and interest growing daily.  Reshma has been involved with OpenELIS implementations overseas for more than 7 years.  For more info on OpenELIS go to www.openelis.org.
